Church groups, business teams, life coach classes, quilting clubs, large family groups and scrapbookers have all enjoyed hosting their weekend retreats at River Valley Place.

Situated on almost 60 secluded acres, River Valley Place features high, elevated views of our own private valley that descends to the banks of the Trinity River, bordering to the east. Don't be surprised to catch a glimpse of a deer, hog, turkey, or coyote that occasionally wanders across the meadow.

Warren and Mary Robbins closed on the purchase of this property on election day, 1992. That's a day they will never forget. They were excited to begin a new life in the country to raise their 4 children, which quickly grew to 8!

Those were busy, productive days raising a family and "subduing the land". They initially built the Farmhouse, then later the Cottage, doing much of the work themselves. The Farmhouse was their family home, and the Cottage became home for Mary's grandmother.

Eventually, the Robbins built a new house on the property to accommodate their growing family. The Farmhouse and Cottage became “home” for other families who also grew to treasure life in the country at River Valley Place as much as they.

In 1998 the Old Red Barn was lovingly built by Warren and the kids. Horses, goats and countless chickens called the barn “home” over the years.

In 2019, the Robbins undertook a major upgrade of the barn to make it into a modern climate-controlled event barn with a white-washed vintage interior and concrete floors for now hosting people-fun.

The Robbins are thrilled to offer this to other, new friends in a new way so they, too, can make their own special, treasured memories at this very unique place in Collin County!
